The paper presents the first results of a project chaired by Maria Luisa Meneghetti, aiming at studying mariuscript Berlin, Staatsbibiliothek, Hamilton 390 (olim Saibante) from the codicological, paleographic, linguistic, textual, historical and artistic points of view. A first-hand analysis of the manuscript provided data for a new complete and updated codicological description, and enabled some important discoveries, like the subscription of an ancient owner, Marco, written in October 1350 in Famagusta (f`. lr). Against this backdrop, the paper formulates hypotheses on the ancient stages of the history of the codex. The study also proposes a new description and interpretation of the two first illuminations (ff. lr-2v, portraying the Rose-Window and the Fortune's Wheel).

Abstract
The study also proposes a new description and interpretation of the two first illuminations (ff. lr-2v, portraying the Rose-Window and the Fortune's Wheel).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
