It is now clear that the hypothalamic-pituitary axis is controlled not only by the classical neurotransmitters (e.g., norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin, etc.), but also by a large series of newly discovered peptides. Among the peptides involved in the control of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, a special role is certainly played by the opioids.

Abstract
It is now clear that the hypothalamic-pituitary axis is controlled not only by the classical neurotransmitters (e.g., norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin, etc.), but also by a large series of newly discovered peptides. Among the peptides involved in the control of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, a special role is certainly played by the opioids.Pubblicazioni consigliate
