The point defect parameters, viz. formation energy and molar ratio of free Schottky defects, in the (Cs,Tl)Cl solid solution with the CsCl type structure, beta, have been computed by following the procedure already proposed for (Cs,Tl)Br (see ibid., vol.110, p.1, 1978) which implies the previous computation of the ionic migration energies and transport numbers. As for the solid solution with the NaCl type structure, alpha, which has been recognized in this system only the ionic transport numbers and the formation energy for a pair of Schottky defects have been obtained

Abstract

Der festen Lösung (Cs, Tl)Cl mit der CsTl-Struktur ß wurden nach der bereits für (Cs, Tl)ClBr vorgeschlagenen Prozedur berechnet, die die vorherige Berechnung der Wanderungs-Energien und Überführungszahlen der Ionen impliziert. Für die feste Lösung mit NaCl-Struktur, die in diesem System aufgefunden wurde, konnten nur die Überführungszahlen und die Bildungsenergie für ein Paar von Schottky-Defekten erhalten werden. Ein Auswertungsversuch für die Änderung des Defekt-Molenbruchs bei der a-ß-Umwandlung im reinen CsCl läßt vermuten, daß die begleitende Leitfähigkeitsabnahme lediglich von der Gitteraufweitung herrührt .
