The point defect parameters, viz. formation energy and molar ratio of free Schottky defects, in the (Cs,Tl)Cl solid solution with the CsCl type structure, beta, have been computed by following the procedure already proposed for (Cs,Tl)Br (see ibid., vol.110, p.1, 1978) which implies the previous computation of the ionic migration energies and transport numbers. As for the solid solution with the NaCl type structure, alpha, which has been recognized in this system only the ionic transport numbers and the formation energy for a pair of Schottky defects have been obtained
