Linear and star-branched polyamide 12 were prepd. in the presence of mono- and multifunctional acid agents,i.e., benzoic acid, trimesic acid, and 2,2,6,6-tetrakis(β-carboxyethyl)cyclohexanone. Mol. masses and mol. mass distributions are discussed according to our model recently presented and are compared with the data obtained by Flory's model. End group titrn. and SEC data are discussed. Oligomerization data confirm the general validity of our model.
