Abstract

copper complexes of tridentate Schiff bases give rise to oligonuclear derivatives. salen-type tetradentate Shiff bases with two differently substituted sal moieties have been obtained through a template method using the tridentate derivatives. These complexes display moderate non linear optical activity. Organometallic alkynyl complexes of Ru(II) have also been investigated as non linear optical materials.
