The Information and Communication department (DICo) of Università degli Studi di Milano, organized the 2010 edition of DSP Application Day as eConference and webinar event. The traditional purpose of DSP Application Day is to inspire students, researchers, teachers, and industrial designers in fields that use digital signal-processing technology or embedded systems for real-time applications. The event is a chance for participants to present emerging technology and innovations. Two seminars discuss two important topics, the signal acquisition chain and using statistical processing to analyze document images. These proceedings contain selected papers from this event.
