Abstract

Iron based supported catalysts for Fischer Tropsch (FT) synthesis with high loading of metal have been recently studied1 in order to improve the attrition resistance of the same catalysts using a suitable support, without sacrificing either the activity or the selectivity. An optimized catalysts, containing 30% of Fe, 2% of K and 3.65% of Cu has been identified and then prepared using different preparation methods, i.e. traditional or using ultrasound (US) and microwave (MW) in different conditions. A comparison, based on FT results and characterization study, among the different catalysts is presented
