The Memorabilia is a very controversial Xenophon's work because of his interpretation of Socratic mind. In the dialogue with Hippias Socrates outlines the ideal of agathos polites. The philosoph suggests a virtuous notion of homonoia, based on the moral oath on observance of the law. Therefore the identity of nomos and dike is presented as antithetic to sophistic idea of "natural justice".
