Subject of this paper is the analysis of some monuments of the second century AD in Perge (Pamphylia), decorated with imperial portraits and statues of local gods and heroes. The case of the transformation of the South Gate as a monument celebrating the imperial dynasty, the city and the benefactor’s family is representative of operations of Plancia Magna in Perge, which gives the city its important public works and represents the role of benefactor of the senatorial class of her time. Imperial portraits are exhibited together with local gods and heroes also in the Nymphaeum North, in the South Bath and in the last redecoration of the theater (end of the third century AD).
