Abstract

Novel examples of polymer derivatives tailored for specific therapeutic applications in the field of nanomedicine and drug delivery based on polyamidoamines (PAA) are given. In particular, this abstract reports recent results using 2-ethenyldithiopyridine containing PAAs (PAA-SSPy) as intracytoplsmic vehicle of immunotoxines, PAA-cholesterol and PAA-β-Cyclodextrin conjugates (PAA-β-CD) nanoparticles for the delivery of lipophylic drugs and the synthesis of functionalized PAA for MRI applications.
