‘Tardigold’ (TG), a late ripening sport from ‘Stark Redgold’ (SRG) nectarine, was assesed on six different rootstocks in comparison with the original cultivar to evaluate the mutation stability and the fruit quality. No reversion occured and no chimera was found during the seven-year trial. SRG fruits were a little softer and showed more yellow-orange ground colour and blush. TG fruits were a little less acidic. Solubile solids and skin blush were negatively influenced by the more vigorous rootstocks (‘GF 677’ and ‘Seedling’).

Abstract
‘Tardigold’ (TG), a late ripening sport from ‘Stark Redgold’ (SRG) nectarine, was assesed on six different rootstocks in comparison with the original cultivar to evaluate the mutation stability and the fruit quality. No reversion occured and no chimera was found during the seven-year trial. SRG fruits were a little softer and showed more yellow-orange ground colour and blush. TG fruits were a little less acidic. Solubile solids and skin blush were negatively influenced by the more vigorous rootstocks (‘GF 677’ and ‘Seedling’).Pubblicazioni consigliate
